Our Friend José Abreu is the MVP

Did you hear the news? Chicago White Sox first baseman José Abreu was named the American League MVP.

I know. So deserving.

Here at Easterseals Serving Chicagoland and Greater Rockford, we almost couldn’t contain our excitement because José is extra special to us. Why? Because has dedicated so much of his time, commitment, and care to our students with disabilities. José started the philanthropic program “Abreu’s Amigos” five years ago in 2015 to provide opportunities for our Easterseals Academy students with disabilities to develop social skills. Ever since, he’s been our MVP!

Check out our students congratulate Jose Abreu for his well-deserved award and thank him for all the support and love he gives to Abreu’s Amigos. Then, see an older video of José’s special relationships with our wonderful student, Ari.

Congratulations and thank you to José Abreu and the Chicago White Sox!
