Our Easterseals Academy has three campuses in Chicago, Tinley Park, and Machesney Park and all are looking for new team members to join in a range of roles including teachers, paraprofessionals, social workers, and speech pathologists.
Easterseals Academy provides an alternative school placement for students with an autism spectrum disorder, emotional disability, developmental delay, or intellectual disability. When a student meets the criteria, their home school district can refer them to one of our campuses. We aim to empower students to achieve their best academic performance, increase their social and vocational skills, and foster the life skills needed for independence.
“Easterseals Academy is really about building a context that’s nurturing, supportive. and appropriate and has the kind of comprehensive services that these particular types of students need. And their needs are very specialized. We pride ourselves in having a model that attends to every single student’s individual needs and also in assembling a set of people, a staff, that not only are experts in doing that—but they love to do it.”
President and CEO Sara Ray Stoelinga
